About the Role
Join our portfolio analytics and investor strategy team to translate complex investment data into crisp insights. You'll support the daily cadence of performance reviews, risk meetings, and investor conversations by preparing the analysis that guides each discussion.
You'll partner with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, risk, and operations to understand positioning, scenario outcomes, and capital requirements across mandates. Expect to toggle between Python notebooks, spreadsheets, and presentation decks while keeping the story financially sound.
We're seeking students who love diving into financial statements, market data, and macro trends and who can package their findings into compelling narratives. If you're comfortable connecting numbers to business impact, you'll thrive in this role.
What You'll Do
- • Produce weekly and monthly performance packs detailing attribution, drawdowns, and risk metrics for systematic portfolios
- • Build cash flow, liquidity, and capital utilization dashboards using Python notebooks and spreadsheet models
- • Research macro and sector themes, distill them into concise talking points, and back them with supporting data
- • Support investor updates by assembling slide content, charts, and commentary for fundraising materials
- • Assist with due diligence questionnaires by coordinating inputs from compliance, research, and operations
- • Partner with quantitative researchers to translate technical insights and factor exposures into investor-friendly language
- • Automate recurring reporting tasks through spreadsheet scripting or lightweight Python utilities
Requirements
- • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline
- • Working knowledge of financial statements, capital markets concepts, and common valuation methods
- • Advanced spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, scenario modeling, and error-checking best practices
- • Experience wrangling datasets using Python (pandas) or SQL to clean, join, and summarize information
- • Ability to interpret performance drivers, risk exposures, and profitability metrics
- • Clear written and verbal communication skills for memo writing and stakeholder presentations
- • High attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- • Familiarity with portfolio analytics or reporting platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg PORT, or PitchBook
- • Experience building dashboards or visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- • Understanding of derivatives, hedging overlays, or multi-asset allocation frameworks
- • Exposure to investor relations, fundraising, or institutional due diligence workflows
- • Comfort automating tasks with VBA, Google Apps Script, or similar tools
- • Coursework in statistics, econometrics, or time-series analysis
- • Previous internship or project experience in buy-side, sell-side, or corporate finance settings
